FranniePantz Party

Tee - Horny Toad, thrifted
Dress - LA made, thrifted
Belt - Lauren Ralph Lauren
Star Sandals - Poetic License

Even though my plans for today are to work as much as I can, I still had to get dressed up because my gal Robin over at FranniePantz is getting MARRIED! Woo! Her wedding colors are purple, orange and tan(?) so of course I had to dress to match. And as much as I'd love to be there in person supporting her, I have to settle for joining her e-party.

I'm not really a huge Project Runway watcher, but I have caught a few episodes of this new season. I'm not impressed by most of the drama llama that is that show, but I had to share this dress. It's the winning dress of episode 5. Dude, it's my thrifted dress! Okay, yeah it's got zippers up the back instead of buttons, but the idea is there. This episode aired within a couple days of me thrifting this.

Sorry for the bitch-face. I am really fatigued today. I did get a lot accomplished this week, including putting away some of my super summery stuff. Not that I'm doing away with brights or sleeveless pieces, but I packed away shorts and my few florals and brought out some layering cardigans for the cold classrooms. Some people like having their whole wardrobe available, but for me, I like packing some of it away to rediscover next year.

  1. Such a cute dress! I love when I see something in the media that's like something I already own. My latest issue of Glamour has a leather dress that looks just like my grey suede one (albeit theirs is in red)!

  2. I love this! Very fun for a party, even if it's an E-party! I love that it's a Project Runway dress too, great find!

I need to do my closet too, I'm getting antsy to do so. Usually happens first week of September sometime, so I'm sure I'll be doing it soon!

  3. Those HOrny Toad tees are some of my favorites. The fabrics are so nice it's almost hard to call them a t-shirt. Cute dress on you too.

I have to say just how much I love your backgrounds. Is this your garage we're looking at? It's very cool. IF my garage had better lighting I'd try this but it's so darn dark out there.

    1. It's a metal garage my FIL is in the process of building. It's only got 3 walls right now so it has really excellent indirect sunlight. I love taking advantage of all the construction stuff sitting around.

I agree the tee is super comfy!

  7. You've got a great eye, obviously. I also pack away stuff 'cause otherwise I'll never, ever find anything. Like you, I think rediscovery is a wonderful thing.

  10. I actually like your dress better. I am a PR fan, but am thinking the talent is not as good lately...

  11. Just received your button flowers today. They're great!! I'll be wearing them with my fall clothes and I'll be sure to link back to you when I post with them on. ;) they look ever better in person. I'm going to use them on hats, sweaters, maybe even a bracelet or two.

  12. What a fun color combo! That dress really suits you. Crazy how similar it is to the PR winner.:) I missed Frannie's post about dressing for the wedding. I have the perfect outfit! Perhaps I"ll get to it before the weekend is over.

  15. I loved the movement of that dress on the runway but thought the neckline was harsh. It's artsy how the tires behind you seem to announce the entrance of the shoes as I scroll down, pretty cool.

  16. That dress is awesome and it looks so much like the Project Runway dress - one of my favorite shows though haven't watched the last two seasons. I am glad you dressed up in your Blogger Friend's Wedding Colors, too. Now that's SUPPORT!! I, too, can hardly wait for cooler temperatures. Really!!
