| Tank - vintage, thrifted Belt - gifted Trousers - Express, thrifted Flats - Sam and Libby, thrifted |
Today's a rest day. Finally. D and I are bumming around the house. I'm planning on cooking dinner and watching marathons of How Do I Look. I picked out comfy pieces to sit around the house, but still okay in case we do have to go somewhere. Red linen pants, a thrifted black tank, and basic flats. I added the pop of yellow belt, with thanks to Heather. The sweet belt buckle was nice to play down the harness-look of the tank. I snatched this up super fast at Super Saturday. I knew it would mostly be a house-clothes piece, but it's so cute (and I'm pretty sure 80s to early 90s due to the tag).I finally cut off about an inch from these trousers. They were really long. And yes, filled with wrinkles. When I wear linen I just accept the wrinkles and go ahead and let them be as wrinkled as they want. I just pretend it's my 'texture' for the day. (Color, Pattern, Texture, Shine, Remember that!)

I know, linen drives me crazy, but it's oh so comfy! I like this look for a casual day and the belt is the perfect addition to tie it all together!

That's totally the way to wear linen. Linen=cool and comfy. I love the belted top. And I am so glad you got a day to relax!
ReplyDeleteI tend to just let linen be wrinkled too. It is too hard to keep neat!
ReplyDeleteYou have such beautiful skin...I hope you always wear SPF ;)!
ReplyDeleteI love the pants, wrinkles and all. My linen clothes are always wrinkled; I've learned to accept it.
ReplyDeleteI love those red linen pants!! I have a few linen dresses and I swear, every time I wear them, if I sit down for even 3 minutes, I have a jillion wrinkles for the rest of the day. But the comfort and summery feel of linen makes wearing it worth the wrinkles!
ReplyDeletei like everything about this outfit. the red linen pants are amazing! and that belt is a pretty nifty swap!

ReplyDeleteThese pants look great and just perfect for a day off to kick back and relax!
ReplyDeleteThat belt it super cute and the perfect amount of "bling" to jazz a basic outfit up a notch or two.
ReplyDeleteThis looks like such a comfortable outfit for a relaxing day. I still adore the color of those pants - so fun. And that belt is a great little touch. Even if it was a "day of rest," you still look wonderfully put together.
ReplyDeleteI am loving linen these days, wrinkles or no. I wore linen bloomers at Faire this weekend, when it was a bazillion degrees out, and they were WONDERFUL. So cool, comfy, and moisture-wicking!
ReplyDeleteWow, I love that tank! The little details really take a basic top to a new place!
ReplyDeleteI love those pants - they look awesome, wrinkles and all!
