| Dress - Hypnotik, thrifted Harness - Audra Jean Pumps - Vintage Pineapple Mint giveaway Cuff - DIY project Earrings - gift |
I thrifted this green dress on Super Saturday Sale at the beginning of the month. It's wonderfully shapeless without the harness, but it's also like wearing soft comfy pajamas.
Also today's outfit brings up an Issue. I adore these pumps I won in a giveaway. They're shapely, have a stacked heel - and are brown. Which if you've watched my blog for any length of time, browns are not my favorite color. I mentioned in a previous post that I'm still on the look out for a great black pump. I wish I could find the same style as above. I've combed etsy til my eyes have crossed for a Black, 6.5 size Baby doll pump - even collected four treasuries worth of links - to no avail. Googling for baby doll pumps has not turned up any good results either. So I need advice on good brands that have shapely black pumps with a sturdy heel!

I LOVE this outfit! The harness really looks great with it! Oh, and would these work? http://www.zappos.com/madden-girl-sursey-black-patent - I found those in my size a while back, but they ran small, but I think it sounds like what you're asking for? The heel was not super chunky but it wasn't super thin either. And Nine Weest would probably be worth checking out too. :)
ReplyDeleteYou look awesome! And totally holiday appropriate. That green is the perfect tone for your hair, and I love the harness.
ReplyDeletethis is so cute. I love that the harness gives it a shape. It looks fantastic on you, what a great color.
ReplyDeleteI hate when you have your heart set on a certain show in a certain color and it doesn't turn up. I wonder if you couldn't just change the color of those to black if you aren't a fan of the brown.
@ Pixie in Pump - I probably could, but then I'd be hunting another brown pump LOL! Those do seem to be easier to find in vintage though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely color green! Perfect for spring and St. Patrick's Day! I really love the dress with the brown accessories.
ReplyDeleteI hope you find your perfect pair of black pumps!
Awesome black pumps if the white stitching isn't a turn off to you -- http://www.fluevog.com/code/?w[0]=gender%3Awomen&w[1]=attribute%3AHeel&p=19&pp=2&view=detail&colourID=2786
ReplyDelete@ Anon - Yes, I'm terribly in love with those. I'm keeping an eye out hoping for sales, ebay or anything to bring the price tag under $200 (which is more than I can justify on pumps). *fingers crossed*
ReplyDeleteThe bright green looks great with your hair.
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks AMAZING on you! The color is so perfect, I can't get over it.
ReplyDeleteChic on the Cheap
So jealous of your warm weather right now! Love your dress! I am so in with that color. Pumps: Tsubo, Indigo by Clarks, Born.
ReplyDeleteBTW I found a pair of Flueogs while shopping with my mom. They were her size and a steal and I made her buy them because yours are so fabulous and I want my own pair, but I'll have to settle with seeing her in them.
That shade of green is awesome on you and I am so jealous of the harness! I am no help on shoes unfortunately!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fantastic green dress, goes great with your hair! The harness is amazing. Bet it goes with a lot.
ReplyDeleteHmm...the shoes. I have a pair of pretty sturdy heels from Seychelles. They're comfy too. They also have that sort of round toe like the ones you're wearing.

Love your hair and your thrifted dress!
ReplyDeleteI am trying to get away from brown.
you look SO good in green! I don't know why the red-headed girls I know shy away from it, it goes so well...
ReplyDeleteas for the shoes, I love em as is, but I'd try myspringshoes.com. they're a canadian company, and pretty decently priced. I have the "foisy" style in brown and i think they're cut really well, have a 2 inch heel, and are soooo comfy to walk in all day long. PLus they're on sale for $25!
Love your St. Patty's Day outfit! I'm kind of a fan of green myself...and wore it all week last week!
ReplyDeleteExcited for Stripes Week!
