Husband steals my harem (pants)

Sweater - INC, thrifted
Tee - NY&Co, thrifted
Harem pants - thrifted
Flats - Naot, ebay
Watson Cat - craigslist
Spike cat - hand me down

So I've spent months hunting my thrift store for a pair of harem pants. These are more like the older fashioned ones than the current market, but I love the detailing and they only cost me $2. I've just been waiting for the weather to warm up a bit to wear them. Although warning, if you buy stretchy harem pants, your husband might steal them. (Don't worry I got them back)

I've been trying to get ahold on my style, but it's been so all over. From mori girl inspiration to lagenlooks and space-cowgirl. I think my wardrobe will never be a complete cohesive look - it will just be my steamtrunk of costumes so I can dress how I most feel.

Regardless it's cold and snowy NOW, so I've got to settle for posting this week old outfit and a kitty picture. Watson was super concerned when I showed up smelling like my mum's friend's cats, so I got some lappy time with my babies. (And finally get to show off Watson's purple collar! He got away with being collarless for quite awhile, but we finally got him one and he is a handsome boy!)

  1. Watson looks very handsome in his purple collar! I was hoping there was a photo of your hubs in the harem pants. Darn! But you look awesome in them.

  3. I love kitty collars! Our girls wear them and they seem to dig it pretty well.

Love your pants - and I think it's ok for your style to be ever evolving!

  4. Those pants!!! The look so great on you! (The whole combo makes you look like a video game character.) I want those pants. I mean, not that particular pair, since they wouldn't fit me, but I'm v. into the looser/breezier pants thing. I want all the breezy pants.

  6. I don't know if I'll ever pinpoint my exact style--it seems to change day to day! And I think that's pretty cool actually. I love your new harem pants. They look so comfy. My husband wouldn't steal mine, but that's only because he would never be able to fit in them. LOL And will this winter ever stop????

  8. Awesome! Hey, I have nothing but good things to say about having multiple style 'personalities.' It means people will always find the sight of you interesting. :D

  9. There's no rush to solidify your fashion style, hon - go with whatever you want to do. Wear the same thing 30 times, then move on (or not).

I went to a vintage fair on the weekend, and saw a pair of pleated (like, the whole leg was pleats), cuffed black harem pants. I wish I'd given them a shot!

  12. Great find ... so happy for you and the new britches (good they have a new life with you!) You'll rock these all summer. I don't think you need to settle on a single style! Especially at your time of life and with your talents. Keep 'um guessing, Your creativity won't allow you to stay long in a rut, or in a single statement!

  13. Yeah, who cares what style you wear? No need for labeling or categorizing or trying to box yourself in. Wear whatever you want whenever you want. Without getting arrested or something, that is. You know.
