Visible Monday

 Sweater - Jones Sport, thrifted
Skirt - Focus 2000, thrifted
Ride Boots - Cydwoq
Necklace - Tiffany&Co., gift from Mom

Hello Monday! Whoa what a weekend. Even missing the art crawl this month, I still managed to squeak in a little time at the Super Saturday sale. I stumbled across this melon colored skirt. It was so swishy. My recent success with a maxi skirt meant I had to give this skirt a shot. It was a bit cool for a wintery day, but the sweater and tall boots had me warm enough.

I'll definitely enjoy this skirt more when summer comes, airy cotton is my favorite! And apparently pink is becoming a prominent color for me this year.

And since this skirt felt totally visible, I'm linking up with the fabulous Patti and her Visible Monday.

And also I want to give a big shout-out to blog sister, Lynne, because her birthday was yesterday! Go wish her lots of happy years!

  1. Aw thanks, SIC! I love this skirt. Are you the same person that didn't buy pink stuff last year? I layer several slips under thinner skirts in colder weather - and leggings over tights. Works like a charm!

This would also be a great look for an office job - very modern but also very professional.

  2. Love this! You really have been rocking the pink lately in the best way - and maybe because you're choosing such awesome vibrant hues of it instead of like cotton candy or baby pink. I love this with your striped green sweater! Pink+green=spring in my mind and that makes me happy. It's February, spring isn't far off!

  4. What a perfectly fun, bright, swishy skirt Megan! What a score! I love the green and pink together--must have been subconsciously inspired by your watermelon laptop, eh? ;-)

  5. Thanks for the heads-up, popping over to Lynne's now...

Beautiful colour mix here, and we are 'column twins' in Patti's line-up. Is this the same colourway as your computer, too? It reminded me of that. Twirl away!

  7. I love pink and green together. The combo makes me think of spring, which is nice when it is cold and snowy!

  8. I've been having difficulties with that silhouette of skirt, despite owning it in a number of colours and lengths. It looks so great on you! I think I've been trying to get it to flare out too high... I love how the godets start just above the knee on you!
Also, now I'm craving watermelon. Good thing I found some in my freezer!

  10. Oh, super cute, this one! I do love a good, swishy skirt, and pink and green together is just such a great combination. Anything reminiscent of watermelon is good with me, though. :)

  11. Once you go pink, it's all that you'll think. :) I never wore pink as a kid (too girlie!) but now a HUGE chunk of my wardrobe is pink. It makes me happy. I'm loving the pink and green combo you have on today. You look a bit like your watermelon computer.

  13. Oooooo, lovely skirt! It will be so fun in the summer, but it's pretty striking with that green sweater, too. I've been noticing a lot of pink lately, and I think I need more in my wardrobe. Wish I could find a skirt like that!

  15. Oh, that skirt is my favourite shape - so perfectly swooshy! And such a fabulous colour. Focus 2000 - I had a suit from Winners by that brand.

  16. Lovely skirt and colour combo. Pink and green is very 1980s "preppy" but this outfit is anything but! Super!

  18. Hi! Shybiker Ally told me about you, and how we live close to each other so I had to come check you out!

This outfit reminds me of Elphaba meets Glinda from Wicked, haha. I love swishy skirts or any skirt that I feel like I would look amazing dancing in. You're too stinkin cute!

  19. Hey, I had a skirt just like that, same color too. Long gone now. Do you think it made it all the way to your neck of the woods?! You look great in it with your bright green sweater too!
