Starry World

Blouse - Simply Vera, thrifted
Belt - Rugged Warehouse
Skirt - gift made by Tamera
Ride Boots - Cydwoq
Necklace - Tiffany&Co.  gift
M earring - Wendy Brandes
Other earring - convention

A little bit of warm weather means I got to wear this skirt that Tamera made for me! She found this amazing starry fabric and made a skirt to my perfect specifications. How cool is she?! This skirt is going to be a go-to for me. Sadly as I was taking the photos for today, the clouds were really rolling in. We have wind advisory warnings going up so we're tying down stuff to our porch so everything doesn't blow away.

I'm making crockpot chicken and herb dumplings for dinner so we can stay warm and comfy inside. I hope the worst of the wind passes through tonight. Tennessee weather can be very scary at times. Hope everyone is keeping an eye on your local weather. Stay safe out there.

  5. Haha, love the d10. The husband is starting to play D&D again, and so I'm getting used to tripping on oddly shaped dice!

  10. Crossing my fingers that the wind blows over in the night (ha!, no but seriously, wind sucks and I hope you don't have to deal with it). I looooove your new skirt! It's so pretty and bright and YOU! Very cute! Your dinner sounds scrumptious!

  12. Fantastic skirt with such cool fabric. Tamera is too talented! You look gorgeous.
I hope that's just a "it feels cozy to be warm and inside" wind rather than something more dramatic. I have always loved cycling in the wind.

  14. Oh, how cool! Love your jewelry, and what a doll Tamera is! We've been having a big melt, so no more skating - the copious slush everywhere is pretty dreary, though almost gone. Your dinner sounds amazing!

  16. Pretty skirt. Your reference to your home-state reminds me of a radio interview I just heard with Adam Ant. You're probably too young to know who he was but, in the 1980's, he was a big pop/rock-star. His success came largely from his bold outfits which he wore in music videos when MTV was just starting (and actually showed music videos). After leaving England, Adam spent a little time in LA, then travelled across the country and settled down in, of all places, rural Tennessee. He loved its beauty and stayed there for four years. He's on the radio now with a new comeback album. His music was never great but he was fun to look at.

  17. Ooo, Tennessee. I've always wanted to go to Nashville. Not for the music, so much as the overall experience. But regardless, this outfit is super cute! I love the starry fabric and your earrings, too! :)

It was 23 and an ice storm monday, almost 70 yesterday and today an artic front is coming through and we have thunderstorms. Tomorrow will be maybe 40. This weather sucks!!
