Casual Friday With a Hat

Cardigan - Simply Vera, thrifted
Tee - Mossimo, thrifted
Jeans - Express, thrifted
Purse - coletta, thrifted
Instinct flats - Cydwoq
Hat - Target

Another day, more errands. I woke up with a serious case of bed-head so I tossed a hat on. Basic jeans, basic tee, interesting cardigan, comfortable flats. Most people's formula for lookin' good.

I'm overdue for a hair cut (and color)... I've been trying to decide what I want to do with my hair. Bangs? No Bangs? Re-do the aline bob? Go for an edgy asymmetrical look? Grow it out? It's so much easier to take care of when it's short.

(On a more serious note, my heart goes out to those affected in CT. I won't comment further, as I'm just learning about it, but I did feel the need to acknowledge the tragedy. Stay safe out there.)

  1. How great is that hat? You look casual and adorable. My heart is heavy, too, listening to the news.

  2. A great hat takes any outfit to the next level. I also love those terrific jeans.

I'm still very much struggling with the horrible news from Connecticut, and I have nothing but the deepest sympathy for the losses so many people suffered there today. There's been way too many mass shooting episodes in the news lately; I worry a lot about what this says about our culture.

  3. You look so cute in cloche hats! It's so your look. I can see this being a very easy look for you as you get older.

I was shocked to see the news (yes, we hear about all this stuff up here too). So sad.

  4. I love love this hat. So beautiful. Two hats for you this week. Cloche hats look great on you, your small face & with your hair style.

My last post (with the orange cardigan) was scheduled ahead, otherwise I would have acknowledged the awful tragedy as well. It is so crueless and senseless. =( I was watching it Live on an Albanian TV Station (just on accident cause I don't see a lot of TV).

  5. I love this outfit on you. That hat is adorable!

  6. I like the hat! I agree that short hair is easier to deal with! And bangs are fun, but can be a pain to grow out if you get tired of them.

Such sad news out of CT. Still numb today.

  7. Such a chic outfit. Love how the hat matches your shoes and that they are both red!

  8. The news from CT makes me so angry - I see no reason for people to own guns at all. But I won't make this my soapbox; I'll be emailing politicians instead!

Hair choices - I think you should do an asymmetric cut. It would look good on you!

  9. How adorable do you look!!! Love the hat!!
I think you'd look great in a shorter more edgy cut--

I just can not imagine what those families in CT are going through......

  10. Every so often I miss my old short haircut. It was easier to style and it always looked polished. Growing my hair out was such a pain. I think it looked wacky for about 8 months until it was long enough for me to style properly.

When was the last time you had long hair? If you cut it, how short will you go?

  11. You look so comfy cute here. I love that cardi- that is amazing. And having seen the hair, OMG you're amazing.

I almost don't want to address it on my blog because I just do not know what to say. I can't even imagine, y'know?

  12. The news about CT is so outrageous to me I can hardly stand it.

I can't wait to see what you do with your hair. You are so fortunate to be able to do anything you want with it. I would love to do a funky asymmetrical bob of some kind.

  13. When I see this look I feel a '20s vibe - it's not just the hat... I picture you at The Club in the day. Love this outfit! I look forward to seeing what you decide to do with your hair. I'm ready for something as well. In Japan the tradition is to get a haircut before New Year's, start the year fresh and clean.

  14. Your cardigan print reminds me of the lovely angel leaf sweater in reverse colors that you wore recently. I wonder how they'd look together... You'll look good no matter what you do with your hair. It does grow back anyway.

Thanks for reading. Got something to say? I'd love to hear it!
