Sew Saturday Show Off 5

The 5th Edition of Sew Sunday Show Off.
Everyone just keeps getting better and better at styling MMD accessories.

Reader Cathie emailed me that she was interested an obi belt and buttonflower grab bag. She ordered the Digital Flowers belt and wore it to jazz up her LBD. Doesn't she look amazing! So so chic.

Louise blows me out of the water with her chevron and stripes pattern mixing. She purchased the Teatime in Wonderland belt a few weeks back. Her mix was not only way better than my attempt, but she inspired an obi-based outfit of my own last week.

Sheila always knocks it out of the park, and I love how she's mixed her gifted buttonflower trio into her 30x30 year long challenge. A medium burnt-orange buttonflower sits along the neckline of this blouse as if it were meant to be there. She's also used the yellow mini buttonflower on her blazer lapels and as skinny belt holders. Even the mini BF's can be useful.

Don't forget my pre-made belt days are numbered. Grab 'em now while they're in stock! As always, I'm happy to do custom requests any time for belts or buttonflowers. Just simply send me an email.

  1. I love seeing how other peeps style the obis and button flowers! I especially love seeing a pic, of at least part of :), the delightful Louise!

  2. It's wonderful to see your pieces out there being styled and looking fab!

  3. So cool! I agree -- lots of fun to see the way your items are being put to beautiful use!

  4. These stylings are all awesome! I especially like how the sleeve-shape of Cathie's dress suits an obi belt - nicely done.

  5. These are soo cute! I would order some, except I'm out of cash at the moment!
    oh well...
    xoxo anna

  6. All of these stylings are wonderful, though I think I like Louise chevron and stripes the best.

  7. Love the buttonflowers! Thanks so much, Megan!

  8. Thanks for compliments, Megan and Amber! Absolutely love my belt and button flowers. Wearing 2 of button flowers w/ another black outfit today.

  9. What a treat to see my outfit here! Thanks to those who left kind comments, too. I'm really loving my obi belt and have been surprised at how comfortable it is to wear in hot, humid weather. The fabric really breathes, and of course I can adjust exactly how tight or loose I want it to be by re-tying it.

It was fun to mix it with chevrons, but my own favorite outfit has been the obi with a plain top and skirt in very similar blues. That let the belt really stand out and be the star of the show! I can't wait to do the same thing with dark brown items for a more autumnal flavor. I've also got my eye on some of the ties that Tamera sent you; lots of great fall colors in that pile!

Thanks for reading. Got something to say? I'd love to hear it!
