No IDea

Custom Harness (just the straps) - Audra Jean
Belts - Lauren Ralph Lauren
"Hoodie" dress - thrifted
Boots - Trippen Happy Free

I had no idea what to wear today. I took my therapists advice to sleep in, chill out and attempt to spend some time preparing for the switch from summer/work/busy to school/work/busy. Then I felt a complete block when it came to getting dressed. It's still hot, still humid, and I'm having a lazy day. As opposed to yesterday's craziness, that you guys will find out about this weekend. Sometimes I take on projects way over my head.

But anyway the obvious solution to my getting-dressed conundrum is my hoodie dress, harness, and Trippen boots. I can't get enough of these boots. I also tried swapping out the skinny belt from my harness with one of my re-sized belts. And adding the orange one too for good measure. You can never have enough belts.

I'm kind of bouncing off the walls because I am not all that great at chilling out. I'm sure that will change when I start school again, but it seems like the more I do, the more energy I have. Obviously, this means I need Steak'n'Shake. Royale burgerrrrr.

  1. We don't have Steak and Shake here, but we've been to the one in St. Louis and it's very yummy! That sounds good to me! We're having steak tonight.

And sleeping in sounds wonderful. And I love the pop of color against the gray dress!

  2. Never heard of Steak and Shake - it sounds like Shake & Bake, you know, that meat coating stuff? Hee!

Great idea to swap out the harness belt! So cute with your new boots too.

  4. Love your new boots!! Relaxing is tough for me too, but I'm getting used to it. I hope it doesn't make me lazy forever. I am sad that my summer break has been swept away. I just didn't get things done that I really had my mind set on.

  5. I know, it's hard to completely relax when you're used to being a get-it-done kind of person. Steak & Shake shakes usually help me a lot. Love the two-belt harness look and of course the fabulous boots.

  10. I love this whole photo! Your funky chunky shoes, the grey structured dress with those great skinny belts and that industrial background is just so cool. That sounds like good advice from a therapist but for creative people, and I think I can tell that you are, it's just no fun to sit and let all the ideas swirl around un-executed. You'll be fine....keep movin!

  11. Oh Megan! I am so glad you are getting good use of your new boots! I hope you take time to chill out--it's very important! But I understand. It is hard to relax when there is so much to get done.

  16. Two things stood out at me: one can never have too many belts (this is so very true) and Steak 'n Shake. Because now I want a shake and fries. Thanks for that. ;)
