Planning Stages

Cupid Blouse - All Saints
Red Trousers - Divided, thrifted
Textile flats - Cydwoq
Wrist cuff - (black) Mom, (red) Target
Bag - Target

I had to seek out a different brick wall today because my days are definitely not slowing down! I managed to swing by Chick-fil-a to grab lunch for my in-laws (and myself, mmm). Plus I had another post office run. I'm thrilled to say selling off my super high heels has funded my new Trippens - delivery set for Wednesday, so worried and excited at the same time! Really hope they fit. The internet is sadly devoid of reviews.

Still working on breaking in these Cydwoqs. The grey pair were like buttah out of the box, but these are proving to be a little more solid, but thankfully not as impossible as Frye's have been. Today's outfit was one of those throw-on-everything-I-feel-like-wearing-and-hope-it-goes outfits. I think it turned out alright.

Not only has the sale of my shoes funded a new pair, but I also finally pre-ordered my tickets for Frankenstein! It's playing across the North America/UK/Aussie/New Zealand/South Africa areas so if you're interested, go check out the venues! There's probably one near you! I'm going stag to the play, but I really enjoyed seeing the Hunger Games by myself.

A little more immediate plans - my MIL decided to take me thrifting for a bunch of spring/summer colored ties and buttons so if you're interested in brightly colored buttonflowers - email me by the end of this week for first dibs! I'll be amping up production this summer because I'm hopefully going to share a booth in a local fair come fall. In the mean time, go check out Keely who's wearing her buttonflower today.

Maybe if I stay very quiet, the to-do List will disappear
Also I may or may not be blogging from under my desk a la Sheila and Megan

    1. Lol! Can't wait to see yours. Yeah, short jaunts are best for breaking these in. I got a little zealous with them right out of the box. They're getting better, just taking some time.

  6. Really love these red pants on you! They fit like a glove! I have been dying to get my hands on a pair soon, but haven't had much luck. So versatile. I like that you matched them with your accessories today. Very adorable!

    1. I had to find a pair that fit in the hips and take the leg up. These were really long. I highly recommend finding something that fits well through the upper leg/hip and getting them hemmed.

    2. Callie, my red Nine West Vintage America Jeans from Steinmart are similar to Megan Mae's, and fit great, especially my middle-aged non-spring chickiness :P

  7. Great red pants! I need to get mine out of the jeans drawer, and give them a wear soon. Looking forward to seeing your Trippens (although doubtless not as much as you are.)

  8. This whole outfit looks great on you. Love the bracelets. I have a pair of Trippens, but they are kind of clunky looking. I've not worn them since I got them. I guess I should, huh?
I've been planning an outfit to wear with my buttonflower. I'll let you know when I post it.

  11. Yay for new shoes! I like Chick Fil A, but unfortunately they don't really have them in the Midwest.

  13. Where are you seeing Frankenstein? I so would have gone with you, girl! Did you just, like die with happiness, when he was standing on the cliffs in Dartmoor in last night's episode, with his duster and high cheekbones. Oh, I can live off that imagery for weeks!

You look awesome. I love the red jeans. I love my red jeans. Can't wait to see your new Trippens.

I want to order some button flowers from you. You know my colors! :P Or a tie belt like Sheila's. I will never have time to make one before The Teen goes to college...lol.

  14. Uh-oh, I may have to do an under-the-desk photo now!

  15. If only hiding under the desk would make my to-do list disappear... I've seen plays and movies by myself too. I don't want to miss out on something great just because no one else is interested.

Do you have any button flowers that aren't silk or wool? (vegan issues)

    2. Gorgeous! I really adore my Cydwoqs. I highly recommend Ped shoes for the excellent service. They'll happily help with fit questions and have a good return policy - though I've never needed to use it!
