Therapy Wednesday

Tunic - All Saints (altered)
Jeggings - GAP, thrifted
Pumps - Miu Miu, ebay

Whoa buddy was it hot today. That cold snap didn't last long. I needed a little midweek pick-me-up - so I popped my head into Goodwill before my therapy appointment. Little retail therapy. Haha. I did manage to pick up two pairs of pajama pants to replace my tatty ones and two new shirts (because I never have enough shirts).

Also earlier this month when I went to my cousin's birthday, my aunt gave me a belated birthday present. She usually gifts me something from Victoria Secret and this year was a bundle of make-up goodies. Make-up isn't really my thing. In fact, all the make-up I own fits in one clinique travel bag. But I've been using the eye shadow palette (Masquerade*) and really enjoy it. Not a lot of itchy-eyes or anything like. I still refuse to wear a base/foundation, but it's great to have a neutral palette to play with.

Also I did try to make an eyeliner tutorial, but uh - it wasn't that great. My best secret for perfect cat-eyes? Line using short dashes with gel liner then use a liquid. Gel liner is easier to fix mistakes, looks great on its own, but also provides a map for where the liquid liner will go. I like maybelline eyestudio because it's drug-store price, it comes with a decent usable brush, and the little pot lasts forever.

All that said, I'm not a beauty blogger. So YMMV.

  1. Your makeup looks great. I usually make a mess when I try doing cat eyes, so I usually stick with regular liner.

  2. I will try that eyeliner trick, b/c I have a rather drunken hand when I try to do it all in one swoop. Your makeup looks great.

  4. I always tell my husband sending me shopping is cheaper and just as effective as sending me to therapy. He doubts that.
I love the shape the liner gives your eyes!

  5. Love today's outfit! Our tunic is so cute. I'm still battling the itchy eye make-up. I've just about had it!

  6. You look stunning Megan. Really beautiful. I LOVE this look on you--sleek and classic. Love the skinny pants/leggings and that great asymmetrical top and your make up is flawless. I'm not a make-up person either. I try and I'd love to know how, but it just doesn't come naturally to me nor is it something I'm all that interested in to be honest. But I love what you've done here!

  8. I think your eyes look pretty! I wear make up but I'm no expert and I go pretty minimal with what I use. I love your shoes, they are too much fun! And retail therapy is the best therapy hands down!

  9. Megan, you have such beautiful skin and eyes. Do you have freckles? I always thought freckles were so pretty.
You look great in this outfit.

  11. You look FANTASTIC! I'm not big on make-up either, all I know is what I do. I wouldn't know how to "play" with different styles or techniques or anything.
