Stripes in Bloom

More like wilted stripes. I love the idea of this skirt, I love the color, the way it feels - but ugh the denim is perma-wrinkled. I hope treating it like jeans will help it relax. I can't believe I had to grab tights today, even if they were lace ones. They matched my gorgeous Cydwoqs, however. The shoes are a bit wider than I wish. Cydwoqs definitely run larger in the small sizes. The grey ones fit fine without socks, but I got blisters due to looseness in these two weeks ago.

It's the week before finals. I am so braindead. I managed to get the crockpot going before leaving for class this morning, but forgot my oatmeal. So of course I was starving and paid for overpriced cafeteria food that wasn't that great. This is not a sponsored/paid post, but I want to share my current breakfast obsession. Better Oats is my favorite quick hot breakfast meal. Minimal packaging that doubles as a temporary measuring cup and saves on self space, not overly sweet like Quaker, and made with real fruit/chocolate depending on flavors. Good for brain food!

How do you keep yourself pumped up for mid-week

    I like the skirt - but yes, isn't it so frustrating when something, no matter how much or how well you iron it, wrinkles just when you look at it wrong? Ugh.

  2. I have a skirt like that too - even when I iron the denim, it's still wrinkly, I think it's just how it was sewn? Or the denim itself, because mine feels pretty thin so I think it's not all cotton. I'm uber-boring and eat plain steel-cut oats for breakfast almost every day.

    1. I wish I could do that, but I gotta have at least some dried fruit or something. Too bland for me otherwise. I still wish I could also wrap my head around savory oatmeal, but it squicked me out.

  3. I usually eat a hard boiled egg and a granola bar for breakfast. I am definitely too lazy to cook, through I do like oatmeal.

  4. I love your skirt! I have a similar one and yeah, it is always kind of wrinkly. But it's comfy and still cute regardless so I just go with it!

    I haven't heard of Better Oats but I kind of want to try it now!

    Hey, I have those outfit pieces, sort of, striped shirt, sectioned tulip like skirt. I will try this great look - when it gets a bit warmer.

    I will also try Better Oats. I have oat meal almost every morning. I also dump a whole small box of raisins in the bowl before heating. True story :D One can never have too many raisins in her oatmeal.

  11. Oh. I heart those shoes.:) I hate it when my days-weeks-months don't go as planned. Remember finals week is only a week. It will be over soon.

    And it was 90F here today. Crazy! And no air in the school yet.:(
