Thanks to everyone for your amazing conversation yesterday's post. I learned more than I expected on the topic. The word "modesty" holds a myriad of connotations, some that were unexpected for me. If you haven't weighed in, please do leave a comment on yesterday's post.
In good news, birthday goodies are trickling in! I got a lovely card and birthday gift from Ally, a bizarrely matching free birthday drink postcard from Starbucks, and my pre-ordered (signed!) copy of John Green's The Fault in Our Stars.
Yesterday D and I celebrated my birthday early with a friend of ours who is moving back to school this week (school starts on Thursday!!!). We went swimming and had dinner at incredible restaurant I haven't been to in years. I had a crawfish pasta with a very flavorful cajun salmon. I still have half a slice of lemon curd cake in the fridge for later. Yum!

I love these light colours on you and the combination of your socks and pumps! :)
ReplyDeleteYour shoes are so fun! I love the necklace too - how fun! Your dinner sounds amazing, I love seafood!! Mmm, I'm craving it now!
ReplyDeleteLook at you go for your (early) birthday festivities! I love this look on you. The shoes are way fun as always and I love the soft grays of your skirt and top. I don't often buy things in multiple colors either, but sometimes I regret that decision later (particularly if they are poorly made and rip right away, like my blue tights yesterday . . . boo :-( )
ReplyDeleteThose shoes are awesome. *lustful thoughts*
ReplyDeletePurple shoes! I want to steal them!
ReplyDeleteI love that LLAP necklace - it's very you! And I too, want to swipe your shoes and wear them right now - so, so great.
ReplyDeleteHappy early birthday!
ReplyDeleteI love your whimsical look here. Those shoes are just perfect!
What a great outfit Megan! Love the lighter colors, and then the pop of purple :) Happy early Birthday too!
ReplyDeleteI love it! I never tire of that skirt. It's fab! As are your purple shoes.
ReplyDeleteHappy early Birthday! Dinner sound delish.
Love the way the socks show in those shoes! Happy bday,

Haha! love the jewelry! D10s must be lighter than D20s - I'd never subject my ears to those
ReplyDeleteHello there, you left a comment on my blog 'Light A Candle' and I followed it back here. I must say, after browsing through your entries I have fallen in love with your outfits. Kudos and consider yourself followed. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt is a bit odd to see you in such light colors! And I love the sock/shoe combo! Yay for birthdays that last more than a day!
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha! I LOVE that necklace :)
ReplyDeleteThe socks look so cute with these shoes. It's a small thing but it adds so much zest to your outfit!
ReplyDeleteah. I didn't know that it was your birthday! My son's was yesterday (the 13th). I do love a lot of Old Navy tops. They may not be made that well, but they are always comfy, which means a lot in my book.
