Cropped jacket over a long(ish) dress! I nabbed the jacket for 99 cents, but I think I see why it was so cheap. It's really not as flattering as it was on the hanger. But since I'm relatively new to layering and jackets, it was a good try. I did wind up switching out for this jacket because it was a little warmer and overall fit better.
The dress was purchased for my birthday from one of my fav international ebay sellers (who sells mostly All Saints). I got a great discount since the dress is missing a button that I actually had a replacement for! I'd been wanting this dress off the site when it was $90 (on sale), but managed to get this one for $30.
Okay, this is my faux-Westwood look. I adore Vivienne Westwood looks, but clutch my chest in pain at the prices.. soo instead I work with the elements that make me love the brand: tartan, punky details like studs, tough boots and my mom's putto-bracelet.The flat boots were because I woke up with an extremely tender ball-of-foot. Not sure what I managed to do over the weekend, but anything other than the flattest flats were not happening.
As always with Fashion Challenges, don't forget to check out our participants here on the master post. Feel free to join in the challenge late if you so choose.
So cute - love the Westwood look.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found a D&D group! Good luck!
Such a cute dress!!! It fits you really well too. Awesome about finding a D&D group, my hubby used to play a lot and we were going to try a couples group too but it never panned out. Now I don't think we'd have the time if we wanted to, but maybe someday!
ReplyDeleteI love this dress and the cropped jacket is really cute- you could style it so many different ways! I've always been interested to know what goes on at a D&D party!
ReplyDeleteWell it depends on your DM really, but who you play with and what version factor in as well. Imagine a room full of people collaborating on one story. Plus some math and dice rolls. :3
DeleteThe cropped length of the jacket looks really good on you! Makes me want to get a cropped jacket for dresses!
ReplyDeleteLove Vivienne Westwood too and I also love when you are able to pull off designer looks for less! Yay! Kudos to you as always Megan!
ReplyDeleteVery Vivienne! I love the dress - I'm jealous of all your fabulous All Saints stuff!
ReplyDeleteYou look amazing! The colors and prints are seasonally appropriate but the shorter sleeves and lighter materials are appropriate for the weather.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry your foot was hurting but I'm glad you had a fun night out! :)
Those are some great tights. I need to check out Sock Dreams!
ReplyDeleteOh, I love that dress!! And those boots are pretty amazing, too!
ReplyDeleteIt's a great dress! I've been struggling to think of ways to wear mine (wool plaid dress) so I'll keep my eye on yours, and see if I can adapt ideas! I do miss being part of challenges (the blog re-orientation self-doubt sets in!)
ReplyDeleteI love your nod to Westwood - and love the fit of the dress on you!
ReplyDeletethis is such a great look. i love your all saints dress and that cute jacket. those boots are to die for too!!!

Thank you! ^_^
Adorable dress! Love it with tights and booties. Cute little jacket too. It's still pretty chilly here. No short sleeves in sight. Or sun for that matter.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful dress!
ReplyDeleteOhoh! I have that jacket! H&M? The quality is....yeah. Looked really cute on the hangar...notsomuch on myself DX Anyway, this is such a cute combination of plaid and black and studs!
ReplyDeleteI don't think it was H&M, but I could be wrong. I already sent it back to goodwill. It just felt too shapeless/unflattering on me.
