Autumn Traffic Light

Bolero -  thrifted
Dress -ny collection, thrifted
Socks - Target, gift
Brown Boots - Miz Mooz

Well it was grey and rainy, and we've come out the other side with something resembling autumn. Which also means, I get to dig into clothes that haven't been worn. Starting with this lush cardigan. I actually wore almost this exact outfit last year.

My old green shirt dress was replaced with this thrifted one, I added tall socks for extra warmth, but otherwise almost identical. I only got to wear this wooly cardigan twice before it warmed up too much. Also these Miz Mooz boots haven't really made it back into rotation for this season, so I happily pulled them out.

Mom and I sat down to make our Turkey Day menu, and she's requested I make pumpkin muffins in lieu of pumpkin pie. So here's a quick tip if you need a speedy dessert to bring over to someone's house or just to jazz up your own menu: Mix together one (15 oz) can of pureed pumpkin, a dash of all spice and a box of yellow cake mix. Put into muffin liners, sprinkle just a dusting of oats onto the tops before sticking into the oven (Follow the cupcake timing and temps on the box). No eggs, oil or milk.

  1. I will have to try that recipe. I love pumpkin muffins and bread but dislike the large number of ingredients that it usually takes to make them.
The colors in your outfit are some of my favorites. The bolero looks so good on you. You are just lovely in this outfit.

  3. Oh what a cool and easy (and yummy!) recipe! Thanks for the tip Megan!

I LOVE your cardigan and I am glad I got to see this outfit as I was not in on the bloggy world last fall. The tall socks are great and the mix of autumnal colors are fantastic!

  4. I tried on some Miz Mooz flats today, and they were horridly uncomfortable. Granted, I have picky feet, but how are the boots?
