Dress - Karen Kane, ebay
Wool Under skirt - Banana Reublic, thrifted
Shoes - American Eagle, thrifted
Jewelry - liberated from my mom's collection
The shoes are newly thrifted. These puppies set me back a whole $2 (For those who don't know, I thrift shoes and wear them those last few wears.. I tend to feel bad for the ones that are pre-loved). These had a heel shape similar to Fluevog Summertimes family. I've been wanting a pair, and stalking via ebay, but so far none have shown up in the right size. I was ** <- that close to a pair of Haights until the seller said they were a 7.5 and the 7s fit them. Ah, well. The thrifting gods smiled on me and these sandals popped up. Think I can get away with wearing tights with them?
I absolutely love this on you! My guess is Karen Kane for the dress? The back of the dress is fabulous :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that dress is fabulous. I love its design. I know it's not "pleated" but I don't know the word to describe how it has more material as you look downward. Very, very attractive. And the sandals are nice, too.
ReplyDeletethat is dress is so cool! i love the texture on it! and those shoes are a serious steal!

My Google reader gave away the dress name before I even read your post. Love all the seaming on it!
ReplyDeleteHmmm...I think the shoes are a little open and summery for tights, but I'd have to see how they look.
Awesome look, hon! I'm wearing the skirt you sent me today (but I'll do my post tonight).
That dress has great lines! (Godet, I believe, ShyBiker). Karen Kane has been popping up all over my twitter feed these days and I have to admit I have no idea who she is. I've been pretending it's the same person who was prima ballerina in the Royal Winnipeg Ballet for years. The motion this dress likely has actually kind of supports that idea... hmm... I probably should still look it up!
ReplyDeleteI totally saw who the dress was by on accident, but I am shocked! The seaming on it is so neat!
ReplyDeleteI could not even tell you who this dress is by, but I like it a lot and it is very flattering on you!
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure who the dress was made by, but it sure looks nice on you.
ReplyDeleteThat dress looks amazing on you! And I love the layered look :)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a beautiful dress. I think it's funny that you feel bad for the "pre-loved" shoes. I feel bad when I find something in my closet that I haven't worn in years. I don't want them to feel neglected!
ReplyDeleteYou can totally wear those shoes with tights, just make it look purposeful. Maybe a bold color like berry or teal?
I have a couple of Karen Kane silk tops that I like. I love your dress. All the seaming is so attractive on you. The back is just fabulous.
ReplyDeleteI think you can wear the shoes with tights.
I think they would look great with tights. You do have the best thrifting eye!
ReplyDeleteI love how your hair looks in these photos!
ReplyDeleteI so understand that you feel bad for shoes. I am the same way about purses.

I'm having a giveaway...
Drat! Before I got a chance to guess I had already highlighted the black box wondering what it was- I'm too impatient! I love the layered skirt on you! Thanks for your kind words :)
ReplyDeleteNice dress! <3
ReplyDeleteBest,

Layering can create such a unique look - just like it did here! I really love the midi length on you. The seams in the dress are so interesting, and I love how you kept things simple with those great shoes. Great thrifted find!
ReplyDeleteLOVE this dress! And yes, you can wear those shoes with tights. Colored tights will look awesome!
ReplyDeleteI love that dress! maybe wear tights that don't have feet? I dunno. I'm not the best person for fashion advice. My midi look will be tomorrow. and my dots look is today. I hope that's okay.
ReplyDeleteAwww i can completely relate to you hun. Being petite myself I feel like midis and maxis more often overwhelms than compliments my figure teehee UNLESS I wear heels instead! lol. I think you've worked it well here, those new thrifted shoes are gorgeous ^_^
ReplyDeleteEeli
That midi looks cute on you! I love maxi dresses & skirts on others but for some reason I don't love them on me. I'm going to have to give the midi dresses & skirts a try!
ReplyDeleteThis may be my favorite outfit EVER! *makes plans to sneak in your closet and steal stuff*
ReplyDeleteAnd you can so rock the shoes with tights.
