Sweater - Jones Wear, thrifted
Skirt - thrifted
Boots - Fluevog, ebay
While this outfit would have been perfect for yesterday's stripes, it was the only thing I could realllly work out to wear for Brights Day. I almost didn't wear this either, because it was 40 degrees this morning! Brr. I decided to suck it up and give these cotton lined wool tights a try. I spent two years trying to convince myself they'd make a difference for wearing skirts in cold weather, and actually they work pretty well. I still need to see how they wash first, but initially they seem like a good investment.
I think my fringe is getting too long to wear straight down. I need to decide if I want them short or if I want to try and grow them out. Any thoughts? I'm probably going for a trim in November.

Oh wow, this is great! The green and the berry skirt look great together. I would have never thought to pair these two colors together.
ReplyDeleteBangs are tricky. Do you like the sideswept look? When I was growing out my bangs I did a lot of headbands and bobby pins.
Oh wow...love the skirt!!!!

What a great bright fall outfit! I had to skip the challenge today (boo!) because I was having a closet meltdown and couldn't hunt down any brights this morning. I love your skirt! I have had the same thoughts about wool tights, but once it gets even a bit chilly, I think "um, nope. These are not going to do." LOL Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteStripes again :) Love that fuscia colour!

I think you look really beautiful with bangs and not many people can pull them off so I would keep them! I love this bright outfit- the pink and green work really well together and I've had to bust out the tights today as well- brr it's gettin chilly!
ReplyDeleteI totally just got the Dis or Dat reference... we downloaded the game as an app on Scott's iPad tonight! I got so distracted over recognizing it from the challenge that I screwed up that round!
ReplyDeletePink and green, eh? Normally I'd avoid it, but this works!
i love how you mixed these colours together.. they work out so well!!

I love this outfit! Such a bright and unusual color combination.
ReplyDelete40 degress??? Brrr is right. :( I like the green/pink combo. I don't wear skirts when it gets too cold, but I'm hoping I can wear them this winter because SF doesn't get very cold.
ReplyDeleteI haven't had bangs since 5th grade, so I don't have any advice. I'm in the process of growing my hair long again because I miss wearing braids.
The bright top is very cute! The bright green would really pop under a black blazer.
ReplyDeleteAs for bangs, you can go to A Pretty Penny and search for her bang trim tutorial. Or to avoid the overgrown, when you get a trim have them do the side sweep bang. They are much easier to maintain.
Ooh I love this outfit - green and pink look so good together :)
