Professional Interview

Blouse - All Saints
Necklace - thrifted
Bracelets - gifts
 Pants - Willi Smith, thrifted
Shoes - Fly London

Today I'm heading downtown Nashville to conduct an interview with a professional "in my field" (I don't quite have a field so I've chosen an organization I support). I'll also be doing my observational work while I'm down there. Part of the assignment is to "dress professionally." I had a pretty great outfit picked out, inspired by Franniepantz, but lo and behold it's way too hot (and conversely cold inside) for it to work out. Cue me scrambling to pull together something nice. I kept the brown pants, swapped in some red shoes and my navy sleeveless top. I'm carrying along a cardigan for the inevitable cold bus ride and cold buildings.

Don't forget my button flower giveaway ends tonight at midnight CST. I'll pull the winners tonight once I'm home. I'll be trying to comment from my phone if I can find wifi spots today. And just a friendly reminder - if you haven't mobile-enabled your blog, please do so! It's very easy. Check under Settings>Email & Mobile>"

  1. Very nice! Very professional, but very Megan Mae! I like everything about it -- from the shoes to the bracelet to the necklace to the top to the pants!

  2. Very nice professional outfit! Love how you paired navy, brown and red, but added a touch of you (with the star necklace)! Good luck with the interview.

Seriously, it's hot in TN? It is 70 degrees now, but it was 55 degrees this morning! Brr!

  3. super cute outfit!
The bummer side of the mobile settings is you can only use it if you use a blogger template. I made my webmonkey rebuild my site using their template just so I could use the mobile feature.

  6. OMGosh Megan! Thanks so much for the shout out. Sorry it didn't work out for you, but in the end it did because this is a smashing professional outfit for interviewing. I love the navy top and those red shoes are darling. I also love how your necklace hangs under the cowl neck. Good luck today and I hope everything goes smoothly.

  7. Megan, this is an excellent professional look and yet it still looks like "you". Offices can be really cold so taking a sweater is a great idea. When I worked, inevitably, they would put my desk below the cold air vent. I would freeze! Once I wore a parka for days on end.

  8. Awesome outfit for a professional look. You look very polished and sleek and not at all that you are "trying", if you know what I mean. I would be very impressed if someone showed up in this outfit at my work.

    Rock on, girl!

  10. Of course now, my brain is thinking: "So what cardigan?" The best part of this outfit is that it could easily be dressed up or down depending on the situation!
