Blogger love

Hat - Stolen from D
Blouse - Mixit, thrifted
Shorts - St.John's Bay, thrifted
Pumps - Poetic License, ebay

After a kind of rough weekend, I headed to the post office to mail a package to Sheila, the one who gifted me my awesome yellow skirt. My favorite part of the blogging world has been swapping and gifting via snail mail. I've gotten handmade jewelry, craft swaps, clothing swaps, and today got an unexpected gift from Heather in the mail! A yellow belt! Thank you so much! I can't wait to wear it.

I felt goofy today, so I decided to try out my black framed glasses with this funky retro print top. I've been obsessed with hats of all things, and decided to wear D's "cabbie hat". I also realized I hadn't worn my Poetic License pumps. I don't know if it's summer-swollen feet or what but they actually seemed to fit well. I talked myself into having a cheesesteak sandwich from Lenny's Sub Shop today. They're so good and the delicious smell made me cave.

  1. As soon as I get settled in our new place, we'll have to swap!
The pattern on that shirt is great - I was thrifting today, looking for something I could use as fabric so I'm a little pattern crazed!

  2. OK that hat looks great on you! Lovin the glasses, the pattern of the top, and those shoes! They are purple, my fave color!

You are quite welcome for the belt. I saw it and thought of you since you mentioned you needed a yellow belt. Maybe I will get lucky and find you something blue next, lol!

  3. Mmm... cheesesteaks! I followed Lenny's link to see where you live -- TN! I visited Memphis two years ago on a BBQ tour. Ate BBQ twice a day for a whole week at the best places in the world. Yumm!

I like when people add creative touches to their appearance. The line between costumes/clothes is not that distinct in my book. I see the influence of your costuming past on your daily outfits. (If you listen to me, I urge you to pursue it further!)

That cool hat and those wild pumps are killer. And isn't Sheila the best fashion-blogger out there?!!

  4. You look utterly adorable in that hat!!! I love the neckline on the top too.

  5. I love that hat on you - too cute!

  6. Mmmmmmm cheesesteak sandwich . . .

I love this hat on you. It's adorable especially with the glasses! I hope to be a cool swapper one day like you! What great gifts/swaps you have gotten!

  7. That hat looks great, and it is nice that you got some cute gifts in the mail!

  8. the Hat, No the it.

  9. Oooh, a package! I'm so excited! :) I have to see what I can dig out for you, Miz Megan! Fair's fair!

I love the cap and the "sperm" pattern (ha!) on the top!

  10. @ Sheila - Aaaah! I looked at my picture of the print and it totally looks like sperm! I'm dying with laughter. In real life, it's that sort of stems/leaves print. XD I'm totally calling that my "sperm print top" now.

  11. This combination seems so comfortable and at the same time so chic, you look nice in this outfit, I like your shoes, the color combination is pretty! Your blog is lovely and I'm a new follower! Hope you'll like my blog and follow back!

  12. Loving this outfit!! The top is really cute and I love it paired with the shoes and hat! :)
In answer to your comment, I do use the digital coupons but I didn't know you could stack them!
I went and looked back, and it seems that I actually did that the other day. My body wash, I had BOGO coupons and then my card had a $1.50 coupon off 1.. it took it too! :)
I hadn't had time to really check my math, so I didn't catch this the other day. I will have to go back and fix that. Thanks for the tip!

  13. Okay, now I'm hungry!

That hat looks great, you wear it well.

  14. The Goddess of Fashion has spoken -- it's a Sperm Top!

  15. I should bust out my stuff to swap and put up pictures. I haz the lazy lately! Must get motivated!

Thanks for reading. Got something to say? I'd love to hear it!
