EBEW: Thrifted Versace

 Tee - Gap
Skirt - Versace Jean Couture, thrifted
Shoes - Fly London
Necklace - via Mom
Bag - Nine West, swap
Stars!

In honor of EBEW, I wanted to wear one of my favorite thrifted pieces. Not only because it's one of the many thrifted designer pieces I've bought, but because it's a star skirt! I paid either $2 or 4 for this, I can't remember, but it was ridiculous. I threw caution to the wind and wear this mini with pride.

This outfit was worn to the post office, and then to the Estee Lauder counter. I got a call for a free skin consult, and figured why not. They also did a full face for me while I was there, showing me tips and tricks. I was pretty pleased with the skin products, but I think for a non-make-up wearer the look was a bit over the top. Plus the foundation turned me orange. ;A;! But the lady was really sweet, and I'll be putting their skin care on my wishlist.

  2. You are rockin' that skirt - I love it!

You're eyes look huge and gorgeous with the eyeliner, but I agree, the makeup seems a bit excessive. You have beautiful skin all alone :)

  5. OMGoodness! Your makeup looks FABULOUS!!!!! Love the star skirt so much! For $2 or $4, it's a bargain, but for that price for Versace, it's a freaking crime! You look so adorable and the more I see your haircut, the more I want your mom to come buy me one. ;-)

  6. I'm a little-to-no makeup girl myself. I went to a Clinique makeup consultation once, it felt so unnatural for me! By the way, I LOVE your haircut. I am contemplating going super short for the rest of the summer. This heat is really getting to me!

I like going to the beauty counters too for consults, but they do cake on the foundation!

  10. I always love that skirt! It's so fabulous on you and oh, so cute! And, wow on the make-up! Yes, it turned you orange, but, that rosy cheek and eye make-up really make your eyes pop! Gorgeous!

I've used department store products since middle school and have always been pleased with them. Clinique is a less expensive version of Estee Lauder. I've been told Clinique is also for younger skin and Estee Lauder is for later years.

  14. LOVE the eye makeup. However, yeah. Orange skin. And you have perfect skin, which should never be covered up by anything more than sun screen!
