This picture is nearly a lie. Why, you ask? Because barely an hour later the sky was raging with a huge thunderstorm. Mom and I caught the bus and midway down the line a black cloud drifted over. We usually do some minor shopping along the way home for food, drinks or whatever essentials Mom needs so we had to run through the rain to the shops. I was dressed for the hot sun, not cold rain.. so I was drenched. But I still had a sweet woman stop me and gush over my dress. I promise I look better when I'm not sopping wet!

Now about the dress! I've had a rash of marvelous thrifting finds lately. This Karen Kane dress was hanging on the rack as I walked in. I picked it up because weird prints always draw my eye and the dress is a very swishy jersey. It fits so amazingly well I couldn't put it back. I was iffy on the length, but after wearing it I really, really liked it. I also got my pineapple dress on that day.

Saturday was Super 50% Off Everything Day... and I hadn't planned on going since I had already bought the two dresses mentioned above. But Mom called to tell me she had found me a couple of tops out at her Goodwill. I decided to be nice and see if I couldn't find her a couple of goodies (I did). But I also spotted two things for myself. I gave a budget of no more than $5 spent on me and managed to come out with a BNWT Michael Kors top and a Versace Jean Couture skirt. It took me all of ten minutes to spot these! Super Score!
