Return of the Poof

Burnt Orange Tee - Banana Republic, thrifted
Pima Cotton jeans - The Limited, thrifted
Pumdals - X-Appeal, thrifted
Cardigan - Rugged Warehouse

Dry hair and a sort-of smile
Waaah, Can I complain enough about the unholy hour I had to get up this morning? Really it wasn't that bad, I did get Starbucks after all. D and I had to travel to Nashville for his dental appointment. I decided to go with jeans, a fancy tee, and carry along a cardigan for waiting in the lobby. Apologies for the wet hair and sleep-face, but this is 15 minutes after waking up, getting dressed and out the door.

You can see my painted toes!
These are my newest jeans. I can't stop buying wide leg dark denim. The plus to these is that the fabric is actually light weight and 41% Pima cotton. They are super soft.

Liar, liar, pants on fire. Here I am again eating my own words. Again and again. I lament the puff sleeve all the time. But really, there are alternative puff sleeves that work for broad shoulders. I think the sleeves on this tee actually help minimize my shoulders. This was a happy find from a few weeks ago when I went to the larger Goodwill in the next town. I want it in every color plz.

How was your Monday?

Sorry you had to get up so early. Hopefully you can take a nap to make up for it!

  2. I am on the same page as you. Wide leg dark denim has taken over all my dark skinney jeans in my closet. They are really comfortable and you can dress them up or down.

That orange shirt looks really good on you with your hair. Also, I have the same shirt, in the same color. lol

  3. I always find it interesting when someone mentions something about their body I had never noticed. Broad shoulders? Hmm... either they aren't that broad, or I haven't been paying attention.

    I love the shoes!

  4. Those jeans are fantastic on you! And no need to apologize--we all need a whine fest now and again. I've been whining about getting up early all weekend since Friday (i.e. before I had to even get up early all weekend) ;-)

  6. @ Cara - After being repeatedly measured for wedding dress and various costumes I know so many measurements. My shoulders are the widest part of my body. Finding garments with comfortable fit through the shoulders can be an issue.. and is probably why I hate sleeves in general.

  7. I always *know* that poofy sleeves make me look like a linebacker, but I can't help but love them still. It's the princess in me!
