GLaDOS

Dress - made by MIL
Belt - Guess, gift from Keely
Trench - Hot topic
Shoes - XAppeal, thrifted

Why have I been working my butt off for free time, again? Oh yeah - PORTAL 2! Last night, D and I stood around two hours for the midnight release. I felt the need to put some effort in for the night. So I tossed on my favorite green shirt dress, and this freaking amazing belt that Keely gifted to me. I can't wait to pair it up with so much stuff.

These pumps? Sandals? Pumdals? I ran across them last Wednesday (99p day) in Goodwill. I really don't like to thrift shoes. Not because I find it squicky, but because the shoes at my local thrift spots are often banged up really badly even if they were new-stock. These were new stock. The soles unscratched and not banged up. For $4, these little bronze-brown shoes definitely came home with me. They're surprisingly comfortable too. I stood in the 3inch heels for the whole two hours with no feet complaints. I've almost written enough here to write a shoe post!

  1. I am normally a gamer that waits until games are really cheap or buy used, but I think I'm going to have to go get that one new. I love the belt! Nice way to add a kick to a shirtdress.

  2. @ Charlotte - if you liked Portal 1, then it's definitely worth picking up. Try gamefly if you don't like having to purchase new.

  4. I have many a pair of pumdals... I'm glad to have a word for them now!

I love how sophisticated you look for standing in line for a video game! I bought a game today wearing jeans and a hoodie, I should have stepped it up (Dragon Age, I think. It wasn't for me).

  8. This is a way cool outfit! What fun to do! love that trench! Ok, I need to calm down on the exclamation points here ... I dunno -- I get all excited sometimes. You know how you follow people, and sometimes they just get it completely right? This is one of those times.

  9. Adorable shoes! I've had that belt for months and months and I finally had to let it go to someone I knew would wear it!

  10. wow Megan, that's a great look to wear online for an 'event'. i love the "dual belting action" - Keeley's great gift, and the triple belting applique on the perfect trench!! fun fun fun.

i also have to say you did a wonderful job of picking a skirt for Sheila. it's beautiful in itself and a perfect look for Sheila! people with their own sense of style are impressive, those that understand the style of others......awesome. happy sunday! steph
