Dress - All Saints Skirt, Belt - thrifted Wedges - Lela Rose for Payless |
Today's Alternative Title: Watermelon Twist! I love pink and green together. This is technically two dresses layered together. You can see the pink one here, and the green one here. Ironically, both worn with the same cardi, boots and belt. So what better choice than to pair them together. The pink dress is now back to full price on the All Saints site. I can't believe I managed to snag it in my size on clearance.I also had to thrown on my super high wedge sandals today. The weather is going to change midweek and go back to chilly 50s. The kiss of summer was just enough promise for me though. I'm really looking forward to sleeveless tops and bare legs again.
As a bonus stripe today, I thought I'd include a goofy striped kitty, Spike, who throughly enjoys a good patch of sunshine. Look at those stripes! Even across his tummy.
Be sure to check out all the participants of Super Stripes Week.

Such a fun color and pattern combo!
ReplyDeleteOh, another Sal commenting here! :)
ReplyDeleteHello, other Sal! :)
I like your outfit, especcially how you make a dress seem to be a skirt. How did you do that? Did you fold the top down?
Love those sandals, too!
And I think I have the same haircut. :) I style it differently though but yours looks more feminine. (I think I look boyish at the moment. :( Any style suggestions?)
Also, thank you for letting me participate! :)
Sal (this one from Germany)
@ Sal from Germany - The dress as a skirt is a strapless. I think it's meant to be an 'either/or' type of dress that you can wear as a long skirt or a short strapless dress. It is folded over and then belted.
ReplyDeleteAs for my hair, I comb most of it forward when wet. Then I usually just let it air dry and sort of *fluff* it by running my hands through it as it dries to give it some volume. Sometimes I'll run a bunch of gel through it or scrunch it a bit, but I usually let it do it's own thing.
My ultimate secret trick to keep from looking boyish - a little bit of black eyeliner. ;]
Thank you! I'm using gel, too, but I comb my hair back. I'll have to try it your way. :)
ReplyDeleteI Love this look ! I am also a Fan of pink and green together.
ReplyDeleteWatermelon Twist. I like that! I got my act together and justed posted Monday's and today's stripey outfits. Not nearly as creative and fun as yours, but stripey nonetheless. Hope you're enjoying spring!
