I promised myself I wouldn't "have" to wear stripes and could wear anything I wanted once stripes week was over. I couldn't help but take some inspiration from the participants last week. This look was inspired by Lorena of Lorena's Everyday Wear. My stripes are black instead of red, but I thrifted this ruffled blouse awhile back and hadn't figured out a good way to style it since it's very gauzy and sleeveless. Don't let that sun fool you, it's still nippy out.
Also I ask that you please ignore the bad hair days that are to come. Growing out a short 'do isn't the most fun or fashionable task.
(Today's "blogger pose" is totally a rip off of the lovely Christine of FutureLint. I always think of her when I wear these wide legged jeans)

ReplyDeleteI definitely get the whole stripe thing. Saturday, I was expecting to do a long day of school work when my in-laws announced they were already on the road to visit us (3 1/2 hour drive). Since we'd been so busy, we hadn't done any cleaning in a while, so it took me about 3 hours to clean, then barely had 1/2 hour to pull myself together. Stripes just seemed like the easy and pulled together option!!

This is such a cute outfit! You look so fabulous in wide leg jeans! I love the classic color combo and that printed blouse tucks in beautifully! So chic..I wish I could re-create this look but I have no wide leg jeans :/
