Return to Default

Goodbye Disqus. Many bloggers have made the switch over to Disqus. I like many of its features but it seems to also be causing a lot of problems. So, I've removed it from Megan Mae Daily for the time being. Sorry if this causes any problems, but for any questions/comments/concerns I can always be reached via email.

  1. I had been thinking of switching to Disqus but have heard mixed reviews. I like being able to edit posts right after hitting 'submit' instead of deleting and redoing. This may be selfish, but Infouns that bloggers using Disqus would reply to my comment since it's a better tool for that, but they wouldn't visit my blog :( Boohoo me.

Hope you're having a great week!

  2. @ Jen - I did like it for being able to directly respond. Like this comment for instance, won't notify you that I've responded.. But I've experienced a few too many issues with people having Disqus not allow them to leave comments at all. So I've decided just to go back to the old-fashioned way until something better works out or I hear better reviews coming from Disqus. Maybe Blogger will eventually implement a respond-able type commenting system one of these days.

(PS I always try to check out people's blog if they leave me a way to do so!)

  3. It's always frustrating when experiments work out different than we like. Of course, I use a dedicated email for blogging purposes, but I always hit the subscribe when I notice bloggers respond in the comments or I notice an interesting conversation. Heh, I also like having a copy of my comments in my email. I don't know if you've noticed this, but the comment notification emails I get from blogger sometimes have people's email addresses in them, and I have taken to hitting reply directly to those. Obviously it's not the default because most comments don't come with that, but however you can enable it, I think my account will put it on there, so you should see my email instead of that no-reply blogger email. Um... sorry for the novel. :)

Thanks for reading. Got something to say? I'd love to hear it!
